Collaborative Communities - Securing a Sustainable Future for Third Sector Organisations and Social Enterprises

Our region has a flourishing Third Sector which contributes to our vibrant communities. We aim to secure its future through an exciting new programme of support to create sustainable organisations and promote the potential for social enterprises.

In short, the Collaborative Communities Project has two aims:

  • Support the development of a robust and sustainable Third Sector by working with Third Sector organisations to address the multi-faceted issues of sustainability; organisational robustness, reduction in grant dependence and income generation
  • Prove and develop the unrealised potential of social enterprises as a particular type of service provider in our region by creating 6 to 10 exemplar social enterprises which fill market gaps in service delivery provision

Collaborative Communities builds on the existing high quality support by sharing best practice and improving consistency. We offer advice and guidance in areas such as:

  • Developing Social Enterprise
  • Sustainable funding strategies
  • Sharing, collaboration and partnership
  • Demonstrating social impact
