Carl made the transition to community development after working with Brecon Beacons National Park and has spent the last 8 years working with the Third Sector. He has been Project Manager of a Social Enterprise, Coordinator within a Development Trust and a Development Officer helping a range of third sector organisations grow, develop and plan for the future. Carl has direct experience of navigating the many challenges and stresses organisations face in order to deliver their services. Carys has worked for Neath Port Talbot Council for Voluntary Service for 5 years, undertaking a variety of roles including that of administrator, information development officer and more recently community development officer with a particular interest in transport and Social Enterprise. She gained a degree in Business Studies from Aberystwyth University, and as a volunteer was an active member of the Young Farmers movement holding a variety of officer roles, at both a local and county level. Much of her spare time is spent helping run the family farm. |

I studied Law at University of Wales, Swansea, graduating in 2005. I have worked within the Third Sector for 6 years, and have a background in community development and project management, and a particular interest in human rights and equality issues. I worked in Neath Port Talbot for nearly 5 years, before taking on a new challenge developing a women’s rights education and advocacy pilot project in Cardiff. I now look forward to working within Neath Port Talbot to support the development of Third Sector organisations. |

Anne has worked in the voluntary sector, in a variety of roles, for most of her career. Before joining Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services as their Social Care & Housing Planning Facilitator, Anne had a long association with the Care & Repair movement in Wales, working with both the national body and a number of Care & Repair Agencies. Anne has a background and interest in social welfare law advice and advocacy, performance management and service auditing, which she has practised in both the voluntary and private sectors. |

After obtaining a first degree in Geology, Kevin spent 5 years working in the oil and construction industries in various engineering roles in the UK and overseas. He subsequently worked in the financial sector for almost 20 years in a number of Sales, Management and Business Development positions. For the past 12 years he has operated as a freelance Business and Training adviser, including working on numerous public sector business and workforce development programmes in Wales and England. A large number of employers Kevin has engaged with over this period have been in the third sector and he has gained substantial business planning and sales & marketing experience in a variety of different sized organisations. During this same period he has also studied for a PGCE and an MA and obtained The Small Firms Enterprise Development Initiative (SFEDI) accreditation for business advisers. |

Lorna studied French, Spanish and Business at University of Wales, Swansea before working for a couple of years as a Project Manager in Cardiff. Since 2002 she has worked for the Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services as a Development Officer and over this time has worked with a wide range of groups providing development support. Robin has worked as a Housing Adviser, Law Caseworker, running a variety of Young Persons Projects and an innovative project finding community based solutions to Anti Social Behaviour. For the last 6 years, he has been running a social enterprise called TidyLike Records providing a community Record Label, Rock School workshops and festivals, gigs and events management and running a Community Circus called Circus Malarkey serving disadvantaged communities. He hopes his experience in mood music, clowning and juggling may be useful in the current fluid social enterprise environment. |

After graduating from Cardiff University, Wendy worked in local media and theatre publicity before spending nine years as a Parish Liaison Officer for Devon County Council. She returned to Pembrokeshire in 1998 to work for PLANED (Pembrokeshire Local Action Network for Enterprise and Development) and was manager of the Community and Sustainable Development section until 2004. She then spent five years as coordinator of a heritage lottery funded community oral history project while still working in a consultancy role for PLANED. |
